Hesitant Meditation

Wolf nods grey hair quiver
Lashes sprinkle land and time
It demands us to be

More slick a trick
than alpine slides

Glide down guiding rug-burn
Head to toe stop think back up
Hard to grow dreams veiled

Forget the feeling
Lose the fortune

Still hungry with money no sleep
Tight-knit packs travel hook deep
Mind cannot devour no no-no

Light shine bright
Typical madness

Wonder when last time a smile
Came ‘cross those crook’d cheeks
Pure in a warm dangerous pool

We pause to see
Show it blink barely

Wait in vain to weigh options
Shoulders so blue the sun matches
Eyes recall and we return dark

Back in the center
Wilderness wanes.
